My thoughts on having a blog

Hello readers.

My thoughts on having a blog... The first thing that comes to mind is its not the best place to share personal details.

A blog is definitely a good place to improve your writing skills and take in critics but its not the best place to talk about your day-to-day or personal life unless what you're doing is an absolute importance otherwise I don't see the reason to.

Let me split this into the pros and cons.

Pros.
One, as a person that enjoys speaking to myself a lot, I have a lot in my mind and it is a great place to say it all out. It is a great place to rant but please put it on private before you do so. No one wants to read about the shit that you deal with in your life.
Two, I personally feel that it is the best place to share about your lengthy traveling stories. Everyone likes to share their travel stories and the photos they taken. A blog is easy to include photos/videos and  its not difficult to edit them to fit as well.
Three, it is a good place to gain publicity as a writer because it is easy to find them on search engines. I have been a blog reader for as long as I can remember. I come across blogs more often than you can imagine when it comes to searching for stories or facts to read.
Four, you can find unlimited suggestions/critics to improve your writing skills and perspective on the topics that you talk about but that is if there are people that are willing to comment on your posts. Most people just scroll and run but the ones that stay and leave a note are the best. (I am not saying that readers have to but not many people whom are looking for self-improvement would say no to critics. In fact, they're looking for them.)
Five, it is a place to start learning how to track traffic flow into your social media sites (pardon my analytics mindset). It is not as fancy a piece of tech as Google Analytics but it has the most basic features such as location, browsers, devices and etc. You get to know where most of your readers come from and track your page views to see what topics are more popular among your readers.

Cons.
Fame and freedom comes with a price. Like I mentioned above, it is not the best place to rant unless its set to a private mode. Plus the comments can get out of hand pretty quickly when it comes to some ruthless people. Anything can happen on the internet nowadays so its better to be save than sorry. I am not implying that you shouldn't have one but just be careful.

All in all, I still feel that its good to have a blog to experience the fun of having one. There's no harm in having some fun. If things take a bad turn then just remove it. It is as easy as that.

H2.
